The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 2.93%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 12.55%. The All Share Index closed at 43,041.54 against the previous close of 41,816.11 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦15.317 trillion against previous close of ₦14.881 trillion. Volume traded increased by 6.75% from 1.09 billion to 1.16 billion, while the total value of stock traded increased by 30.67% from ₦13.297 billion to ₦17.375 billion in 8,967 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 795.872 million shares exchanged for ₦8.925 billion. Conglomerates came next with 215.058 million shares traded for ₦558 million, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Transcorp, Diamondbnk, Zenithbank, FBNH and Access were the most active stocks by volume. Honyflour, CCNN, Champion, NPFMCRFBK and Fidelitybk emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UPL, Meyer, Learnafrca, NEM and Berger topped the losers chart.
