The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.70%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -14.59%. The All Share Index closed at 32,664.63 against the previous close of 32,437.35 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.925 trillion against previous close of ₦11.842 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 27.89% from 240.765 million to 173.626 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 2.76% from ₦3.659 billion to ₦3.760 billion in 2,565 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 147.078 million shares exchanged for ₦3.281 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 13.365 million shares traded for ₦0.276 billion, Oil And Gas, Conglomerates, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, Zenithbank, Fbnh, Uba and Eti were the most active stocks by volume. Lawunion, Prestige, Hmarkins, Lasaco and Fidelitybk emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Vitafoam, Cileasing, Uac-Prop, Nascon and Wapic topped the losers chart.
